Jeremy Roenick says it all

This is perhaps the purest expression of competitive passion that I've seen in a long, long time.

To want the Cup so badly and never get it...wow.  Good for Roenick for showing his emotions for everyone to see on national TV.   His moment embodies why hockey transcends other sports.

As Jeff Little tweeted, "You don't see ex-football players misting up at the thought of not hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Only in hockey . . . good stuff."  Indeed it was.

  1. That was amazing to see last night...he had me tearing up! But really, I have always admired Jeremy and love seeing and hearing his commetary on NBC and to see him show something so true and real.....just shows how amazing the sport of hockey really is. I just wonder how it would have gone down if this had been game 7 in Chicago... :)
