Milan is free

Word is that Milan Jurcina is on his way back to Washington.  It's a crying shame, as I think Milan wasn't exactly given a fair shake under Hitchcock and probably was just out for show under Noel.  As a young-ish, shutdown D-man with a wickedly hard shot, he did have some upside.  Not sure what the Jackets got for him...hope the trade goes well for both teams.  At least Milan goes back to a team and community with which he is familiar.

Good luck, Milan!

[UPDATE: Milan's comment on the trade, courtesy of Puck Rakers: "It's almost like a woke up from a dream," Jurcina said. "I'm going back to Washington, where I have a lot of friends and have a chance to win the Stanley Cup." Again, what a shame it didn't work out. It sounds like he's excited to get back to DC, which also speaks to what he thought of his time in Columbus. Sigh.]
