Games that matter, 3/10/11

In light of recent events, I'm not sure how much longer I'll continue this series.  Suffice to say that the March to the Playoffs is not going as hoped.  I could keep this going until the Columbus Blue Jackets are mathematically eliminated, but we'll see.  I could cut the cord sooner.

YESTERDAY: A tough night all around, punctuated by losing ground by one more point in the chase for 8th place in the West.
  • Blues beat Blue Jackets in overtime
  • Kings beat Red Wings
  • Ducks beat Rangers
  • Flames beat Stars in a shootout
  • Lightning beat Blackhawks in a shootout
The CBJ's playoff hopes dimmed another 2.2% last night, dropping their chances to 3.6%.
TODAY: The Blue Jackets are off until Friday night - at which point the distribution of Rick Nash bobbleheads will be interrupted by a National Hockey League game against the Los Angeles Kings.  As for tonight...
  • Flames over Coyotes
  • Predators over Wild
